Greenwood Winter Gala          12/12/2026

The Greenwood Winter Gala promises to be an extraordinary evening dedicated to a crucial cause: preserving the historic commercial storefronts on Greenwood Avenue and supporting the ongoing operations of this cherished historic district.

The event features a cocktail hour and silent auction with unique items to benefit local historic preservation efforts. Guests will then enjoy a formal dinner and awards ceremony honoring community leadership and district champions.

A highlight of the evening is a live performance by Grammy-nominated R&B artist Ruben Studdard, providing world-class entertainment in a formal masquerade setting. Attendees are encouraged to come suited, booted, and masked for a night of celebration.

Supporting this fundraiser directly strengthens the preservation of the last remaining historic block on Greenwood Avenue, making it a remarkable opportunity to celebrate resilience, honor history, and enjoy exceptional R&B soul for a great cause.

Tulsa Race Massacre Observance / Memorial Week

Where: Greenwood Rising, Vernon AME Church, and surrounding blocks
Type: Historical remembrance ceremonies

  • The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre occurred May 31–June 1, 1921 in the Greenwood District

  • The community holds vigils, speakers, and educational programs annually

Black Wall Street Rally
 

When: May 13–15, 2027
Where: Historic Greenwood Avenue (centered around Greenwood Rising & Archer/Greenwood)
Type: Cultural festival + motorcycle rally + music + vendors

What happens

  • bike show & demo rides

  • food trucks and retail vendors

  • community panels & financial literacy workshops

  • historical tours of Black Wall Street

This is actually a national-draw festival now. Thousands travel to Tulsa to experience the history of Greenwood and its business district.
